Welcome to the Animal Bodywork Academy of New England (“Academy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions apply to our updates signup and program application forms:

Purpose – Our updates signup lets you receive Academy news and announcements. Our application form lets you apply for a program or cohort wait list and receive communications about your application.

No Guarantee of Enrollment – Joining our email list, submitting an application, joining a wait list, or paying an application fee does not guarantee acceptance or enrollment. Enrollment is subject to the Academy’s admissions process and available places.

Application Fee – The application form requires a $50 non-refundable application fee. Applications are not reviewed until the fee has been received. Paying the fee does not reserve a place or guarantee acceptance.

Intellectual Property – All content we send (emails, updates, materials) is the property of the Academy. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share it without permission.

Disclaimer – Our communications are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Changes – We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued subscription means you accept the revised Terms.

Privacy Policy

The Animal Bodywork Academy of New England respects your privacy.

Information We Collect – When you sign up for updates, we collect your name (optional) and email address. When you apply, we collect the information you provide in the application: your name and preferred name, contact details, address, date of birth, education and occupation, emergency contact details, massage and animal bodywork background, horse experience and horsemanship skills, responses about program readiness and physical requirements, essay and any uploaded essay file, reference names and contact details, your relationship to those references, intended state(s) of practice, acknowledgments, signature, and communication choices.

How We Use Your Information – We use updates signup information to send Academy news and announcements. We use application information to review your application, assess program readiness, communicate with you about admissions and wait-list status, follow up with references, and administer the application process. Marketing communications are subject to your separate communication choices.

Application Access & Storage – Lisa Turcotte is the only person at the Academy who reviews applications. Application information is stored in GoPlus, email, and Dropbox. These service providers process and store information as part of providing those services; this is separate from sharing information for third-party marketing.

Information About Other People – Please obtain permission from your references and emergency contact before providing their contact information to the Academy.

How We Protect Your Information – We take reasonable steps to protect your data and will never sell, rent, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Email Communications – You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. Application-related communications concern the application or services you have requested. You can contact Lisa about your communication preferences.

Cookies & Tracking – If our site uses cookies or analytics, it is solely to understand site traffic and improve the user experience.

Your Rights – If you wish to access, correct, or delete your personal information, contact us at [email protected].

Policy Updates – We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of our site or email list means you accept the updated policy.
